Poco X6 Review: A fantastic new addition to the well-known Poco X series. The Poco X6 offers several upgrades over the highly regarded Poco X5 smartphone. It also has to be among the least expensive phones with a Dolby Vision screen. Thus, a 6.67-inch AMOLED with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and 1220p resolution is presented by the Poco X6.
In addition
to supporting HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, it offers 1920Hz PWM dimming as required. The screen is mounted on a rather conventional Poco design that has been upgraded to an IP54 dust and splash-resistant rating. The Poco X6 is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. A CPU that, despite its confusing nomenclature, is not as fast as the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2. The Poco X6 comes with a very large 8GB RAM + 256GB UFS 2.2 storage option as standard storage. There are also some Poco X5 upgrades in the camera section.
The configuration on the rear includes an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro imager in addition to a higher resolution 64MP main camera with OIS. There is a 16MP selfie camera. A welcome improvement is that 4K video capture is now an option. The Poco X6’s dual speakers, sizable 5,100mAh battery with 67W rapid charging. HyperOS—which should be available as an OTA update shortly after launch—are among of its other intriguing features.
All things considered, the Poco X6 has significant advancements in the areas of the screen. Processor, camera, quick charging, and ingress protection. This is regarded by us as a legitimate annual update.
The selfie camera is the sole feature on the Poco X6 specifications that we believe could be problematic. Even on its most expensive phones, Xiaomi is adamant about sticking with antiquated Quad-Bayer low-res sensors for its front cameras. So we’re quite sure this is just another example of cost-cutting.
